Preparing to move into a new rental home often brings up questions and concerns about the process. We want to make things clear and easy to understand, which is why we created these moving checklists. Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You must pay your first month's rent, the security deposit, and any other applicable fees at the lease signing. If you don't already know the amounts, confirm these with our team in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will provide all information about your first inspection and set the move-in date at the lease signing.

Utilities

As a tenant in one of our properties, you are responsible for placing all utility accounts in your name and keeping them current. Please take care of this immediately after signing the lease.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to leave your rental home? We ask that you kindly provide notice of your intent to vacate the premises. This will allow us to begin preparing for a new tenant after your departure.

Property Condition

Your home must be returned to us in its original condition. Before you leave, please make sure you address the following:

  • Rental Cleaning: Your rental property must be properly cleaned, with all possessions and garbage removed from the home. Carefully sanitize the bathrooms and kitchen spaces, and wipe down all hard surfaces. You should also vacuum/sweep/mop all floors.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you routinely address lawn care or other outdoor maintenance chores, do these once more before moving out.
  • Repairs: Did any damage occur during your stay? Take the necessary steps to resolve such issues. This may include patching nail and screw holes, repainting discolored walls, and replacing broken glass and burnt light bulbs.

Security Deposit

All tenants are required to pay a security deposit at the outset of the lease. These funds protect against damage that might occur during your stay. We perform a final inspection after you move out. If new damage is identified, we will schedule repairs and use the deposit to cover these costs.

The remainder will be returned to you promptly.
